Wrap your pet with a towel or pet diaper. Keep his/her hands and legs bent. If you have ice at home, cover the ice with a towel or two and place them near his/her tummy and spine. This can slow down the decomposition process. Then, call Petmento at 9696 8082 to pick up your pet.

What will you do after picking up my pet?

Accepted Answer

Petmento staff will put your pet inside an ice casket to preserve the body. Then, a dedicated pet hearse will bring your pet to Petmento. Petmento staff will then clean the body and let him/her rest in the individual cooling space until the ceremony date.

How much should I pay when you pick up my pet?

Accepted Answer

A deposit of HK$500 will be collected during the pickup. The remaining balance can be settled on the ceremony date. Payment can be made by cash, credit card or FPS.

Can I bring my pet to Petmento directly?

If the rescheduling request of the ceremony date is received more than 3 days prior, no additional fee will be charged.

You may choose to start the cremation yourself or our staff can do so for you. When the cremation has started, viewing is not allowed due to safety concerns.

What grave goods can I give to my pet during cremation?

Please feel free to bring along your pet’s favourite snacks, toys and fresh flowers to the farewell ceremony. If you wish to have them cremated together, Petmento staff will remove the packaging and items that are made of plastic or metal. Cremating plastic or metal items will damage the purity of the ashes of your pet.

How long does a pet cremation take?

It depends on the size of the pet. It ranges from 30 minutes to around 2 hours.

What is the "heat-resistant pad" and what is it for?

The disposable "heat-resistant pad" is used to make sure no remaining bones or ashes are left behind on the tray.

Can I collect the ashes of my pet on the same day of cremation?

If the cremation ceremony finishes before 3pm, the pet's ashes can be collected on the same day of cremation.If the cremation ceremony finishes after 3pm, it is recommended to collect the ashes the other day to let the ashes cool completely.

We know it is a lifelong decision so take your time to pick the PETMENTO ashes gemtsones you desire. As long as the pet ashes are kept in good condition, you can schedule to make ashes gemstones the other day. Nevertheless, the humid climate of Hong Kong might affect the quality of the ashes. It is advised to transform the ashes into gemstones within the first 2-3 months.

If my pet wasn't cremated at Petmento, can I still choose PETMENTO ashes gemstones?
